Music
Music is my spirit and my soul. I write from a place of wonder, gratitude, and love.
As a songwriter, pianist, arranger, and lyricist, I’ve had the honor to perform at venues such as Cliff Bell’s, The Detroit Jazz Festival, The Ann Arbor Summer Festival, The Ark, and The Blue LLama Jazz Club as well as a select number of high profile private performances.
I encourage you to check out my music! It infuses everything I do.

I take great pride in growing into a number of roles in my experiences to date.
From managing my own small business to working at a tech startup to a local arts state agency, I enjoy wearing many hats, from onboarding, campaign management, event planning, public policy/advocacy work, and production.
My attitude is one of a team player. I want to develop a strong camaraderie with my colleagues, using humor, compassion, and curiosity as change agents and problem-solving tools.

Teaching
Foundational Piano Lessons / Improvisation / Jazz / Songwriting
Since 2020, I have been teaching private piano lessons and working at a local music academy in Southeastern Michigan. I lead a student-tailored approach, offering a customized and hands-on learning experience for each student. As a graduate of the University of Michigan Jazz Program, I specialize in teaching a well-rounded approach to piano technique and theory, with a focus on improvisation, ear-training, chordal foundations and extended harmony. Lessons are balanced and fun; with a bit of structure and a bit of play. My goal as a teacher is to facilitate my students’ curiosity and sense of creativity within a safe and supportive environment. I often work closely with parents and guardians to reinforce at-home learning and create routine and structure for the student to continue their studies outside of the studio. I also strongly believe that you are not too old or too young: you can spark a passion to play piano at any age or stage. I have students ranging from five years to fifty in age. Whether you are looking to learn a pop song by ear, improve your sight-reading or want to compose your first song, I hope you will consider reaching out for a lesson!
“Hannah Baiardi is a paragon of professionalism; a font of creativity; a source of positive energy and a maker of lovely music. Throughout my work with Hannah over the last year, I’ve found her to be extremely collaborative, open to feedback, emotionally intelligent, and impressively resilient. I would highly recommend Hannah for any project on which you have a spot for a key contributor!”
